About This Course

While the majority of trafficking victims are often portrayed as female, it is crucial to recognize that men and boys are also vulnerable to the devastating effects of trafficking. As healthcare professionals, you play a critical role in identifying, supporting, and advocating for male victims, many of whom may face unique challenges in recognizing their trauma and accessing care.

This course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of male human trafficking, including the different forms it takes, the signs and symptoms to look for, and the specific needs of male victims. You will also learn about the barriers these individuals may face when seeking help and how to provide a compassionate, trauma-informed approach that empowers them to heal and reclaim control over their lives.

By the end of this training, you will be equipped with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to better serve male victims of trafficking, ensuring that they receive the care and support they need in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Together, we can break the silence, challenge misconceptions, and create a healthcare environment that is inclusive, sensitive, and responsive to the needs of all trafficking survivors.

Let’s begin this crucial learning journey toward making a real difference in the lives of male trafficking victims, helping them find the support and care they deserve.
